Psychotherapy and Counselling Milton Keynes - Woburn Sands - Bedford
Why come into counselling or psychotherapy?
Life can be challenging and you may wonder to what extent it is you, or others which contributes to how you are feeling, and the conflicting thoughts you experience. If this sounds familiar, going around in circles not understanding how to resolve what is going on for you, coming into therapy will help with creating insight. Getting caught up in patterns and dynamics where there is irresolvable unhappiness, self-sabotaging cycles, sadness, anger, fear, or distress, can create isolation, leading to anxiety and depression.
If you are contemplating wanting something different to how you feel, as an experienced psychotherapist I can provide support so you can achieve a greater understanding of your issues, and ultimately implement change. I believe the answers are within you, and yet they are out of conscious awareness, and so we will work together so that you can uncover them.
My name is Lorraine Davis and I am a psychotherapist with an MSc Integrative Psychotherapy. I am a registered member of BACP and UKCP and adhere to their ethical frameworks - visit BACP and UKCP .
Practicing psychotherapy integratively means I draw from a framework of different therapeutic models, theories and techniques using them creatively and flexibly for each person I work with. I am interested in the quality and dynamics of relationships, and so I take a relational approach. This means we will explore how your past relationships influence the present, along with the relationship you have with self, and what you want for your future.
I have many years experience of working with clients on a wide range of problems, which (I believe) emerge from childhood relational experiences, which will have an impact on your self-esteem and self-worth. My areas of interest and expertise are around working with childhood developmental trauma, relationship issues, inner conflict, emotional struggles, loss and betrayal. I also have an interest in relationship problems relating to adultery, infidelity, and the impact this has regardless of the role of the individual. I work with adult clients one a one to one basis, as well as couples too.
What is the cost?
My charge for individual clients is £60.00 per session whether it's for a daytime or evening (50 minute sessions)
For couples I charge £80.00 per session (50 minutes)
If my fees are not affordable, depending on your income I can offer a discount for those on lower incomes.
